Christmas Blitz

 

Wolverhampton Chess Club will be hosting it's annual Xmas Blitz on 8th Dec 2025.

Everyone Welcome!

Entry Fee: £3

Prizes:

1st Prize: 50%
2nd Prize: 30%
Rating Bracket 1: 10%
Rating Bracket 2: 10%

Rating bracket 1 will be up to the lowest 1/3 of participating players.
Grading bracket 2 will be up to 2/3.

 

Rating:

All games will be rated. 

ECF Bronze (or above) Membership Required.

December Blitz ratings will be used.

Rounds: 10

Time Control: 3min + 2sec 

Rules:

All standard blitz rules will apply.

 

(A player may claim one extra minute of time for the first illegal move, the second illegal move loses the game)
